FGX’s Own Louis Pahnke to Run Marathon Races for Charity
The man to the left is our operations manager, Louis Pahnke. He’s at the helm of the team that works to get your packages picked up fast and get them shipped out even faster. Did I mention, he’s a runner?
Louis ran the 2008 ING New York City Marathon and he’s decided to share his post-marathon
reaction with me in honor of his pledge to represent First Global Xpress by racing to raise funds for charity. Check out his notes on the race and the super cool photo of us dressed in matching track jackets. No, we didn’t plan it like that, we’re just that cool. FGX is always looking for ways to give back, so please, read on for words from our future charity runner.

I remember how the 59th Street bridge ate me up last year and made me walk. I remember the snap, I remember all the bad things that happened last year during the race, but instead of allowing it to beat me, I used it for my benefit. This thing was not beating me this year, the streets were in for a beating of their own. I was just waiting for my moment.
After I won the mad dog of the year award last year i knew I had to defend my title. I took great pride in this award so I had a lot to prove to myself during the 2008 race. I won many battles over the last three years, but never the war. Well, I won the war this year. With my 17min PR, I can say I own this race! Thank you to all who helped me, and I just want to say I am very proud to be in a position to help First Global Xpress raise funds for the search for a cure for Cancer, AIDS and Leukemia.
